On Thursday, February 23, 2012 the New Jersey Department of Transportation hosted a Complete Streets Workshop at its headquarters in Ewing, NJ. The purpose of the workshop was to train NJDOT’s newly hired Civil Engineers in Training (CET) on the basic concepts of complete streets, including policy, policy adoption and implementation, and design. There were approximately 42 CET’s at the three hour workshop. The workshop was led by Charles Brown of the Voorhees Transportation Center (VTC) and Pete Kremer of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

The workshop is a kickoff to the regional complete streets workshops that will take place starting this spring across New Jersey. Those workshops will be led by a dynamic team of experts, including NJDOT, VTC, PB Americas, and RBA.
