The New Jersey Bicycle and Pedestrian Resource Center analyzed and evaluated statewide bicycle and pedestrian advisory groups, including their purpose and activities, in order to synthesize a state of the current practice and to identify best practices for potential application to the New Jersey Bicycle Advisory Council and Pedestrian Task Force. The purpose of this research was to identify common challenges facing statewide bicycle and pedestrian advisory groups and to identify the best practices, structures and concepts that work well in other states.
