Bike share is coming to Rutgers New Brunswick and the surrounding communities! Rutgers University, together with North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA), New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and other regional partners, is implementing a regional bike share program, “Knight Cycle,” through the Regional Transportation Alternatives Program (RTAP). The projects planners aim to install a system with around 350 bicycles, similar to the programs currently in place in Hoboken and Princeton. The program will be open to the public and serve the university community, New Brunswick, Highland Park, Piscataway and the Edison and New Brunswick train stations.
Public Information Center meetings will be held throughout the month of March to inform the public of the program and obtain feedback. Meetings will be in an open-house format and are open to the public. Project team members will be available to answer questions. Additionally, take a look at informational flyers in English or Spanish, and send in written comments via the Community Input Survey (English) or Community Input Survey (Spanish).
