2017 Complete Streets Summit Roundup

Held on October 24, 2017, at Rutgers – New Brunswick, the 2017 New Jersey Complete Streets Summit welcomed over 300 engineers, planners, health professionals, advocates, youth organizers, elected officials, and many more. The Summit served several purposes. It celebrated efforts by governments at all levels to improve the safety and attractiveness of our public roads. It provided a wealth of information about design principles and financing mechanisms to help communities move from adopting Complete Streets policies to implementing Complete Streets projects. Finally, the Summit highlighted the many economic, public health, and mobility benefits of Complete Streets.

To account for the growth in both this event and Complete Streets within New Jersey, the afternoon session offered two tracks: one for those wanting to learn more about Complete Streets policies, and a second for those working towards implementation.

The resources on this page include videos, presentation downloads, and photos from the the Summit. Feel free to disseminate to help advance Complete Streets in your community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a resounding success, and we look forward to seeing you again in two years.
